For all you Dragnet fans, this newsletter is for you: “Just the facts, ma’am.”

Save the Date! Founders Night – This is our annual meeting called for in our by-laws, and what better way to get people to attend a meeting than to throw a party? The confirmed date is Saturday, April 26, 2014. A generous, gracious and brave co-op family has agreed to host. Highlights will include:

  • Silent auction
  • Live music
  • Share certificate distribution

All members are invited, and please bring a friend (or two) who may be interested in joining the co-op. We gained numerous members at last year’s Founders Night, so the challenge is on!

FAQ — Occasionally, we will offer a Q&A for you to dazzle your friends with…and get them to join! (Many thanks to Food Cooperative Initiative)

Q: Do I have to join to Shop?
A: No! Whether you are a member-owner or not, you can expect the same exceptional customer service, quality products and enjoyable shopping experience. But membership provides benefits for you and strengthens The Community Market.

In case you missed it — We will have a location selected when we begin our capital campaign. We will start the capital campaign when we reach 450 members. So for you math majors, 450 members + capital campaign = co-op location!

What you can do — If you have a group, club or association that you think would be interested in hearing about the food co-op, let us know and we’d be happy to lead a presentation. If you would like to host a House Party for a few of your neighbors, co-workers or friends, we’d love to be the entertainment and tell everyone about the co-op. Finally, if you have a location that will display our flyers, let us know that too, and we’ll get them to you! In short, SPREAD THE WORD!
